On this day in 2015: Eubank Jr stops Jeter in Sheffield
The second-round stoppage at Sheffield Arena kept the WBA interim middleweight title in Chris Eubank Jr's hands.

Chris Eubank Jr stopped Tony Jeter 29 seconds into the second round at Sheffield Arena 11 years ago today, on 24 October 2015, to retain his WBA interim middleweight title. The bout was scheduled for 12 rounds and went into the record as a technical knockout.
The win kept a belt in the hands of a fighter still making his own name in the sport. Eubank Jr, then 26, is the son of the former two-division world champion Chris Eubank, and the WBA interim middleweight title was the first of two spells he would have with that belt between 2015 and 2021.
He did not hold it for long after Sheffield. Eubank Jr was later stripped of the interim title because he had not been active enough in defending it.
The loss of the belt did not slow his rise. He won the British middleweight title in 2016, held the IBO super-middleweight title twice between 2017 and 2019, and returned to middleweight to hold the IBO title from 2024 to 2025.
