Moses Itauma to fight in January as Frank Warren plots route back to title contention
Frank Warren says Itauma's opponent for his first fight since the August defeat by Filip Hrgovic will be named within the next couple of weeks.

Moses Itauma will return to the ring in January, promoter Frank Warren has said. Warren told Sky Sports Boxing that the opponent would be announced within the next couple of weeks, Boxing News reported.
It will be Itauma's first fight since his loss to Filip Hrgovic in August, when he was stopped in the ninth round. Before that night he had never boxed beyond six rounds. Warren said Itauma won every round of the fight, but that Hrgovic was tough, stayed in it and left with the belt.
The Queensberry promoter said he had met Itauma and his team last week and that the plan is to get him back into the title picture. He added that Itauma knows what he should have done against Hrgovic and must now put that into practice next year.
Itauma's ranking has held up despite the first defeat of his career. He is No 5 with the WBC and WBO and No 7 with the IBF and WBA.
