Alexander Volkanovski dresses as his Street Fighter character Joe at UFC 333 press conference
The featherweight champion plays Joe in the new live-action Street Fighter film, and says he is a lot leaner now than he was on screen.
Alexander Volkanovski turned up to Thursday's UFC 333 pre-fight press conference in Abu Dhabi dressed as Joe, the character he plays in the new live-action Street Fighter film, with his hair styled blond and swept up.
A reporter asked whether he was hoping to do a little better than Joe did in the film's tournament. "Yeah, yeah, we could say that," Volkanovski said at the press conference. "It's good to finally know who Joe is, right? We finally know who Joe is. I'm definitely a lot leaner than I was in the movie, so I'm glad about that."
His casting as Joe was announced in September 2025. He defends the UFC featherweight title against Movsar Evloev in the UFC 333 main event at the Etihad Arena on Saturday 24 October.
