Johnny Walker after stopping Waldo Cortes-Acosta: 'Today I use 10%, next time maybe 15, 20'
Walker said his coach told him not to "go too crazy" in the UFC Vegas 124 main event, and that he could have finished Cortes-Acosta earlier.

Johnny Walker says he was holding back when he stopped Waldo Cortes-Acosta in the third round of the UFC Vegas 124 main event, and that there is more to come.
Asked at the post-fight press conference in Las Vegas whether his unpredictable style had thrown Cortes-Acosta off, Walker said: "I don't think there is nobody heavyweight that can fight like me, you know. And I was holding myself a little bit because the coach said, don't go too crazy, you know. But my craziness that win the fights, you know. So maybe next time... today I use 10%, next time maybe 15, 20."
Walker finished Cortes-Acosta at 2:27 of the third round on short notice, and is now 2-0 since moving up to heavyweight (read more). Cortes-Acosta was No. 6 in the UFC heavyweight rankings going in.
"I finished a guy that never been finished," Walker said. "I'm ready anytime, short notice, let's go."
He said he could have ended it sooner. "I just have to trust a little bit more, you know, a little bit more, because I could, I could finish him early, you know." He added: "Next time I'll be way sharper, way better... I'm gonna finish somebody, whoever is the champion, the number 1, 2, whatever. I'm gonna finish them. I'm a finisher, bro."
Told at the press conference that he and Cortes-Acosta had been given the Fight of the Night bonus, Walker called the fight "a little bit bar fight with technique" and added: "It's like a video game, you know. I just beat one, one boss. Let's go to the next one now."
He asked for a short break first, saying his foot was "a little bit sore" from the kicks. "But I'm ready anytime," he said. "If you want me fight again next week, let's go, no problem."
