Joe "Hitman" Elmore is back in the BKFC ring on December 11 against former welterweight world champion Gorjan "GoGo" Slaveski at BKFC 97 in Hollywood, Florida. BKFC confirmed the fight on Friday, with tickets on sale now.
The welterweight bout is the co-main event at Hard Rock Live, under the main event between Bryce Henry and Clay Collard. Jessica Eye against Desiree Yanez at women's flyweight is also on the card, which takes place on the evening of December 11 in Florida and runs into the early hours of Saturday, December 12 in the UK.
Slaveski won the vacant BKFC welterweight world title at BKFC 49 in Miami on August 25, 2023, beating the previously unbeaten Jake Lindsey by unanimous decision with scores of 49-46, 48-47 and 49-46. The win took his BKFC record to 6-0 and made him the first Macedonian to win a BKFC world title. "I'm on top of the world, baby!" he said after the fight.
BKFC stripped him of the belt in December 2023. BKFC president and founder David Feldman said at the time that Slaveski had "accepted a fight outside the organization without our approval".
