Ailin Perez beat Norma Dumont by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 121, with all three judges scoring it 29-28, MMA Fighting's results show. Then she brought up the condoms.
At Friday's weigh-in face-off, Dumont pulled a strip of condoms from her shorts and threw them towards Perez, then threw money as well, Cageside Press reported. Perez is known for twerking in her victory celebrations and for her OnlyFans account, and Cageside Press said the message was clear.
In her octagon interview, in a clip posted by UFC Español, Perez answered it. Speaking in Spanish and addressing Dumont by name, she said: "The condoms you threw at me, I didn't get round to putting on. Maybe you're pregnant by me." That is our translation of her words.
The two also came face to face again after the fight. Footage from the UFC broadcast shows them close together in the cage, with officials and staff stepping between them and walking them apart.
It was Perez's seventh win in a row in the UFC, the second-longest streak in the promotion's bantamweight history behind Amanda Nunes's nine, the UFC said. Cageside Press had described the bout as essentially a bantamweight title eliminator. The scores drew complaints online from viewers who thought Dumont had done enough.
