Raul Rosas Jr. beat Raoni Barcelos by knockout in the fifth round of the UFC Vegas 121 main event in Las Vegas early on Sunday UK time. The official result is a KO by slam at 1:38 of the fifth round, according to MMA Fighting's live blog.
The finish came after Rosas took Barcelos down along the fence. MMA Fighting reported that Barcelos was out once Rosas moved into top position, that Rosas landed one punch and then stepped away, and that on replay it was unclear exactly what caused the knockout.
Barcelos was still down minutes after the fight and was taken out of the Octagon on a stretcher, MMA Fighting reported. He was later taken to hospital and was conscious, according to Brazilian outlet Ag. Fight, in an update translated by Sportsnet's UFC reporter Aaron Bronsteter. Ariel Helwani reported that Barcelos was able to speak and to move his fingers and toes, and that he was having a CT scan at a hospital in Las Vegas.
