Khabib Nurmagomedov tells Movsar Evloev to 'only go forward' before UFC 333 title fight
The unbeaten Evloev challenges Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title in tonight's UFC 333 main event in Abu Dhabi.
Khabib Nurmagomedov sent Movsar Evloev a message of support on his Instagram Stories before Evloev's first UFC title shot, against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.
"I really hope that this person will be happy tomorrow. Keep your head cool and only go forward, brother 👊," Nurmagomedov wrote.
Evloev meets Volkanovski in the main event of UFC 333 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi tonight. The unbeaten contender earned the fight with 10 straight wins.
Volkanovski is making the second defence of his second reign as champion, after back-to-back wins over Diego Lopes. His only UFC defeat at 145 pounds came when Ilia Topuria knocked him out in February 2024.
Nurmagomedov retired unbeaten in 2020 after winning the UFC lightweight title and defending it three times.
