Stephen Thompson confirms UFC 334 fight with Charles Radtke will be his last
Wonderboy wants to step away after becoming a dad to a baby girl four months ago, and picked the unranked Radtke to give him a shot at the rankings.

Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson has confirmed that his welterweight fight with Charles Radtke at UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday 14 November will be the last of his career.
Thompson told James Lynch of Ozoon that he wants to step away since becoming a dad to a baby girl four months ago. Lynch said Thompson is open to competition like RAF.
Thompson chose the unranked Radtke for his final fight. "Why not go out with a chance to give these other guys an opportunity to work their way up?" he told Full Mount MMA in September. "I wouldn't have made it where I am today, especially being in the Top 5 - Top 10 for so long, if it wasn't for the guys giving me the shot."
He added: "Radtke has got tremendous potential; he is good everywhere. Why not give this guy a chance to, if he beats me, move up the rankings?"
Thompson, 17-9-1, fought Tyron Woodley for the UFC welterweight title twice, drawing the first fight and losing the rematch by majority decision. He goes into his last fight on three straight defeats: Shavkat Rakhmonov submitted him at UFC 296, Joaquin Buckley knocked him out at UFC 307 and Gabriel Bonfim beat him on a split decision in Nashville in July 2025. His last win came in 2022. Radtke is 5-2 in the UFC, with his losses to Mike Malott and Carlos Prates.
Thompson v Radtke is on the UFC 334 prelims, which start at midnight UK time on Saturday night on UFC Fight Pass. Ciryl Gane defends the heavyweight title against Josh Hokit in the main event, and Kayla Harrison fights Amanda Nunes on the main card, live on TNT Sports from 2am.
