Jon Jones says missing the UFC's White House card is one of the big regrets of his life.

"There was the White House card. It was one of the few nights in my career where I just was thinking I should have been there," Jones told The Schmo in an interview released on 10 October. "I usually don't regret decisions, but that was one of my big regrets in life, not being a part of the White House. But if I never fight again, I think I'm pretty damn happy."

The White House event, UFC Freedom 250, took place in June. Ciryl Gane stopped Alex Pereira in the second round there and has since been promoted to undisputed heavyweight champion. He defends the title against Josh Hokit at UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden on 14 November.

"I believe Hokit very well could win, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't make our brand look great when Ciryl Gane beats people," said Jones. Of Pereira, he said: "The Alex that showed up at the last fight was hesitant and maybe... second-guessing himself."

Jones also gave an update on Gable Steveson, whom he cornered when Sean Sharaf knocked him out in 12 seconds at UFC 331 in September. "He's right back to training," Jones said. "As a team, we need to add a lot more sparring."

Jones and Colby Covington have traded insults on X this week: Covington and Jones on Steveson.
