Sean Strickland recovering after ATV crash while riding without a helmet

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland said he believed he was OK after an ATV crash in Las Vegas. His friend Chris briefly lost consciousness and was in hospital, Strickland said.

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is recovering after an all-terrain vehicle crash while he was not wearing a helmet, The Guardian reported.

In a later update on Instagram, Strickland said he did not believe he was badly hurt. He said his friend Chris had briefly lost consciousness and was in hospital.

Strickland said the accident happened on Monday night in Las Vegas. Describing the crash in his initial video, he said: “I let my buddy drive, he rolled us going, like, 60 (mph). We rolled like six times.” He showed scratches on his head and shoulder, saying his head had struck the ground and his shoulder had hit concrete and dirt as the vehicle rolled.

Strickland was previously involved in a motorcycle incident in 2018 that forced him out of the octagon for two years.
